ECFC 1sts welcomed BJD Celtic to Flomax park last night for a league game against BJD Celtic, the sides met 3 weeks ago in the cup in Cavan town and on that occasion it was BJD that won that encounter

Tonight was different though, our 1sts learned the lessons from the defeat and set about it from the first minute, squeezing BJD deep inside their own half

And allowing them zero time to settle ball.

Sean Coyle, Etho and Dean McRedmond pressed the BJD back four winning possession high up the pitch, our middle 3 Evan, Stephen and Club Captain Nathan ensured the BJD midfield couldn’t dictate the tempo,

At the back, our rear guard of Ro, Jack Campion, Pecks, Phil and Gero kept our forst clean sheet of the season and BJD found Ro inbestable in between the posts.

Phil broke the deadlock when Etho and Jack Campion Terrorised the BJDs full back and all they could do to stop them was foul Ethan given a Peno which Phil calmly slotted home for 1-0.

Soon after it was 2-0 when Sean McRedmond found Evan who smashed home a 25 yard screamer to make it 2-0.

We were not happy with just 2 and again it was Sean McRedmond who provided another assist for Nathan to get his 1st goal of the season.

So a huge 3 points for our 1sts in the league, and backing up last weeks win v NTC in the cup with an even better team performance with a man of the match display from
