Two Inform Teams Clash

Enfield Celtic 2nds came into this game with a point to prove. Walshestown were sitting top of the table coming into this game in Division 3a so the lads knew they had to win this game to top the table for a few hours.

The Blues hit the ground running scoring a well worked goal out from the back with a great assit from Arnie to Slu zaka slotting it home as cool as you like. The Blues kept up the intensity controlling all aspects of the football being played, recovering the long balls hit into midfield by Walshestown the lads transitioned quickly scoring a 2nd by top Goalscorer Remi assisted by our number 9 Arnie. The lads didnt let up there in the first half scoring an absolute cracker from 20 yards out, Ryan Poleon slotted it in the keepers far corner.

Walshestown did have one or two spells of pressure in the first half with their fast number 9 causing a few issues at the back for the lads, resulting in a goal back for the opponents.

The lads reset themselves at half them and quickly made back that goal with a stunning free kick from Stephen Maher.

It finished 4-1 to the lads as they continue their great start to the season and topped the table for 24hrs

Next up for the lads is a difficult trip away to Monaghan to face Carrick Rovers afc in the reserve Cup. We wish the lads the best of luck this coming Saturday.
