MATCH REPORT from last week Cup game
Our 2nds went out against Parkceltic Summerhill last week looking to make amends for a defeat 2 weeks previous against the same opposition.
The lads did that and hit the ground running getting a goal after a sustained period of pressure from the blues, with top Goalscorer remi sticking it in the back of the net.
Just before half time the blues got another goal from a well played set piece and after a scramble in the box captain Sean Reynolds slotted it home.
After half time a long ball over the top by Summerhill resulted in a goal and that made it 2 - 1.
The blues never really looked like they would lose this game even when Summerhill tried to come at them for the last 8 minutes of the game.
The lads will rue some of their missed chances in the 1st and 2nd half which would have seen the 2nds out of sight but the lads did well to finish out the game and head on to the next round of the cup
