Match Report - WILMSLOW SPORTS U11 - 8 Nov 2023

First game of the season versus the leagues top dogs. Wilmslow have not lost in a regular match since U9s so was always going to be a challenge for the boys.

Egerton started the game very well and were dominant in the opening 20 minutes with Harry scoring with a neat volley drive into the corner giving the keeper no chance. 1-0 Egerton.

Second half Egerton again asserted their dominance with a great defensive performance from Kam at the back. Wilmslow still looking a threat at counter attacks but in the 42nd minute Jaxon scored with a great strike from a tight angle.

Wilmslow had their chances to equalise but Owen pulled off a great double save to keep the score at 2-0. Joe scored our 3rd from a counter attack. He worked his socks off on the wing all morning and found himself one on one with the keeper and cooly slotted home. Jaxon then scored a great second goal. Could have shot first time with his right but cut inside, and curled a pearler with this left foot straight into the top corner to make it 4-0.

Fantastic performance by all.
