Allington went into this game missing a number of key players, this meant a call up for Rob Hutchings and Fin Watson (both put in great shifts) and also a change of formation.
Understandably Allington took a while to get into their stride and Richard Teague was forced into a couple of excellent saves.
Slowly Allington were getting on top and finished the first half strongly. After some good team play the Away side goalkeeper pulled off a tremendous double save from Josef Sita.
Rob Tapper then went close firing just over.
The second half started with alot of play in midfield without either side creating too many clear cut chances. Allingtons defence was looking solid and well marshalled by the impressive Dan Hurrell.
With minutes left Allington nearly got the winner when a Jon Davis header from the corner was cleared off the line.
Overall a draw was a fair result. The commitment and effort from the home side was there as they ran themselves into the ground but just lacked that final and killer ball to break down a resolute Villa defence.
A big thank you to Jamie Hurrell,Jake Langman and Luke Smith who offered to go on the subs bench at late notice.
Saturday they are Away to Chudleigh Athletic with a 2.30pm ko in a Premier Division fixture.
Thank you to Jillys Farm Shop of Dartmouth for being this weeks club sponsor.
