The opening performance showcased our form as of late, with the opposition being pinned back for the majority of the opening proceedings.

Despite having a few shots on target, our first goal came through a set piece from Josh Doyle with a 30 yard free kick. The keeper was unable to get a hand to it. 1-0

We did not relent with the pressure and added to the score within a few minutes. The opposition backline was once again called to duty when a pass over the top from Sean Carslake was met by Ronan, who’s effort on goal creeped past the keepers initial save and square in front of Harry who finished it off. 2-0

The next came from Liam, who got on the end of a low cross into the box by Harry, finishing into the far corner. 3-0

The first half scoring was completed by Kian. Some good two touch football on the left flank opened up a space for the winger who nestled a curling effort into the far corner. 4-0

We started the 2nd half quite sloppy, allowing Knocklyon to get one back. 4-1

We regrouped and for the last 15 minutes put the opposition under more pressure, and final goal of the game was a fantastic goal from Serhii. Coming off the bench and having already hitting the woodwork, he picked up a loose ball from a corner in the box and spun around his man before beautifully dinking the keeper, who could only watch the ball float over his head and nestle into the goal behind him. 5-1
