Cup Run Ends!!!

Raptors have had a stroke of bad luck recently. Losing Tom Noah Shopland and Ryan Maddock in the space of 2 weeks due to injuries. This saw them only manage to take 15 players to Luton. This soon changed to 13 on the day, leaving the squad very light. Raptors started the game well, and soon found the breakthrough. Brendan Cunningham getting the ball inside the area, and putting across the face of goal, for the returning George Rogers to finish it off.

Then very similar to the Biggleswade match, the lads turned off for 25minutes, and 61 FC capitalised on it.

4 goals inside the 25 minutes saw them sitting comfortable, and Raptors players arguing amongst themselves on the pitch.

A couple of changes at halftime, and Raptors started the 2nd half better. If we could have been more aware in the final 3rd, we couldve brought the game level, but balls wasnt released to those in space, and chance after chance went begging.

The one goal in the 2nd half, saw the winger get in behind the defence, and hit a ball across the face of goal, only for a butterfinger moment from KP in goal, which saw the ball hit his glove and fall to the striker to backheel in. 5-1

Man of the match today went to Chris Patrickson. Seeing alot of the ball, and putting in some good tackles, also saw him dropping back to help at CB.

Fulltime and another game where Raptors were leading, ended in a defeat and elimination from the cup. Rumours players dont care we are out as its just the county cup, is not what we want to hear. Every game, be it a final or pre season friendly, is important!

Moving forward, we need to stop arguing amongst ourselves on the pitch. This makes us look stupid and gives the opposition the upper hand. If we have a problem, wait to air it at halftime, or bring it to the captains attention, and it will be dealt with, without making us look a joke.
