In all the games I have ever attended this has to go down Down as one of the most hurtful games I have ever been involved in. For a side of ours and the capabilities it has this game should of been one way traffic. The lions did get off to a perfect start on 8 minutes when Martin Travis put through Jonathan Cooper to chip the keeper and put the lions one up.
A couple of minutes later goalkeeper Jamie Kernaghan pulled off the 1st of many great saves tipping the ball over the bar from going into the top corner.
Two minutes later he did the same again tipping round the post with the lions looking the shakier of the two sides.
The Railway did score on 15 minutes but didn't break the offside trap, goal disallowed.
The Railway did pull level on 19 minutes when a long range effort found its way into the bottom right 1-1.
On 2 minutes the lions were furtunate not to concede again when Parsley back pass fell short to to keeper but Kernaghan pulled off again another great save.
On 30 minutes the lions pushed on when the railway keeper punched to matt Appleby to put wide.
34 minutes gone and the railway in again only for keeper to save.

In the second half it didn't take long for the lions to go ahead as on 48 min liam Ashton a corner was met by the head of Jonathan Cooper aging for 2-1
Liam Ashton again supplied a great ball for Joe wragg on 56 minutes to put the lions 3-1 up.
It took 70 minutes for the Railway to score when the back line was caught napping. Three goals in quick succession saw the lions fall from 3-1 ahead to 4-3 down. Poor last 20 minutes cost the lions 3 points
