Pheasant Intimidation Fails To Stop Plucky Darlo

<p>An irritating tirade of intimadatory kicking and nasty tackles failed to snatch victory from a very patient and in control Darlaston . Our shambolic opponents turned up in bits and drabs , penalised for the late start on the match form by a young and nervous referee. We yet again got caught napping at the back before we could settle and went 1-0 down , the hapless opposition celebrating and guffawing at our incompetence . The laughter quickly turned to tears a Liam Poll fired a canny equaliser after some nifty footwork in the box . It was Poll who then set up the Squirrel with a superb lob to put us ahead . As we pushed and pushed to extend our lead the visitors equalised on the break . Liam Poll got his second however and completed his hat trick with a penalty when Colin finished his days work in gaining us a penalty . 4-2 up at half time , their looked to be only one winner but Pheasant then turned nasty , the adolescent referee allowing them to more or less kick anything that moved . To our credit we didnt react ...how Squizz kept his hands to himself I dont know .....three of them got booked but that was scarcely adequate punishment . The nature of the game took its toll and to some extent their tactic worked as Toone and Squizz were reduced to limping through .Col and Ryan already victims , Anton had to get behind the bar ......we were on our last legs . The stoppages turned the second half into a farce but when the ref gave a throw the wrong way our Mr Toon inflicted some Karma and launched a long one to Ben Wilson who was given enough space to hoit our fifth . Pheasant did get a consolation but we saw it through to a 5-3 win, while our chavvy opponents slunk off without a murmur .
