<p>With Palfrey setting themselves up as the divisions whipping boys (conceded 20 in 2), Ry Macs eyes were a gleaming brightly in anticipation of a clayhanger goalfest , our yellow outfit dazzling in the Autumn sunshine . We started brightly and in control , passing the ball neatly around . Palfreys Cameroonian winger Wilfred Neptune Janu had little control but pace to burn , enough to get chopped several times by all and sundry . Giles and Plant linked well ..both putting in dangerous balls from the right , Jack Whitehouse converting Colins chipped cross .The squirrel gave a better showing and with greater fitness and movement he will be like having a new player hopefully . Christian marauded on the left but for the second week running we wasted several chances . The home side earned a rare corner and their striker rose like the proverbial salmon to beat Moz. 1-1 at half time but we pushed well after the break and calmed down a bit to play some decent stuff . Christian Davis curled an outswing corner to find Ryan McAllister who directed a great header past the superb keeper Mark Stanich . Despite our dominance , Palfrey were a very unorthodox side , not appearing to adopt any formation .They were indisciplined and late into tackles ; unfortunately we got dragged into the same and the game became a farce , not helped by very much by the referee Im afraid . With the whistle chirping every 30 seconds our footballing advantage was lost , and the affair may as well have took place on a roulette wheel . After a passage of tippy tappy in our own half we got caught in possession to hand them an equaliser . Even then we had chances to claim the victory but their Polish capped an excellent performance with a stunning save from a Liam Poll effort . The keepers distribution and command of the box was extraordinary for this level ; it was revealed afterwards that he and most of the others hadn't played in the first two games . The draw was a hard pill to swallow as we cannot deny that we had hoped for a good win , but some of our rivals (Cottage and Pride ) suffered unexpected defeats .
