Match Report - LADYBRIDGE - 17 Feb 2018

A strong start from the home team. Looking very comfortable in possession and moved the ball round freely considering the condition of the pitch. Eventually the home side got a much deserved goal from some good football, unfortunately within the same minute Ladybridge grabbed an equaliser. The first half had shown that the lads are capable of mixing with the top teams in the league.

At Half time the lads were praised for their efforts but reminded what was needed to take the game to their opponents. The mood was good at half time and the lads seemed confident.

The 2nd half started and the game still very even for 15 minutes until a lack of organisation and a misclearance led to a half chance for the away team which slipped through the keepers hands and into the net. This caused a mad 10 minute spell for the home team who started to look rushed and make erratic decisions costing them dearly to which the away team then scored another goal.

For the final 15 minutes the home side looked much stronger having a couple of chances not find the net, the away team had there backs against the ropes but managed to see off the pressure to take the victory.

Overall it was a solid team performance today with some stand out performers. The team looked good considering they hadn’t played for 5 weeks however it’s the short lapses of concentration that continue to cause Dalton problems. Fingers crossed we can take the perfomance into next weeks game and come out with the 3 points.
