vs West of St. Julians
Home league match
First Team game yesterday was one of very few games that survived Storm Brian across South Wales. They went into the game knowing of the importance of winning the game, with St. Julians hot on their tails at the top of the table. The game started fairly even, but the boys soon found their feet, with St. Julians struggling to get a foothold in the game due to the windy conditions, the boys took advantage. Callum Joseph Short had a free-kick wildly deflecting in of a defender from half way and from there, the boys never looked like stopping. The boys were 2-0 up at half time and managed the game from there very well, with players putting there bodies about to defend at all costs, along with players winning both the first and second ball. They continued to do so in the second half, playing quick counter-attacking football as they continued to manage the game well. St. Julians had a few chances to get into the game, with one highlighting a magnificent save from Dewi Lloyd-Perkins reaching up to get his hand to the ball which was firing towards the top left hand corner. Some brilliant passing football, and a hunger to get a result came through in this game and every player contributed as a team to get a much deserved result.
