OMG!!
What a game that was still recovering.
First half was possibly our worst performance since the first game of the season. Quick rocket up them at half time and we went out looking a different side playing much more controlled football 2 stunning assists by Alex and Joe for 2 sublime finishes from Jackson quickly put us 2-1 up then we did retreat a bit as Failsworth pushed for the equaliser but we defend well unfortunately a sin bin put us down to 10 for the last 10 minutes and we couldn't keep them out.
So on to penalties ?? ..
First 2 each missed then they missed again we calmed our nerves and Joe and Jake scored theirs leaving Alex with the deciding kick honestly for the first time I turned away and couldn't watch, shouldn't have worried though as I turned to see the ball nestle in the bottom corner and cue pandemonium from the lads. Fully deserved result and we move into another cup final man of the match everyone, but think Connor in goal deserves a special mention with some awesome saves as usual and obviously pivotal in the penalties
