Another semi-final, another narrow defeat, this time to Woodside as yet again Cowie miss out in a tight game.
Cowie hit the post after 5 minutes when a good ball in by Buck was turned onto the outside of the post by McDonald.
The game turned scrappy and neither side had many chances but Woodside almost opened scoring but for a great save by Stu tipping a shot onto the bar from outside the box.
Woodside scored the winner in the 56th minute when from a corner to the back post, the Woodside centre half won the ball and looped it back across goal and dipped into the top corner.
Cowie then pressed for an equaliser and thought they'd got it when Buck went on a mazy run but his shot from the edge of the box was well saved by the Woodside keeper.
The last 15 minutes were a predictable onslaught of balls into the Woodside box but the defence were winning everything and when Cowie did play it on the ground the final ball let them down.
Another disappointing result in a big game, 3 league games left to try and finish the season in 2nd place.
