Cowie Thistle 1 - 5 Woodside
An under strength Cowie went down to a heavy defeat against Woodside today but for 2/3rds of the game we’re still in it before fading at the end.
Woodside took the lead after 25 minutes then scored a 2nd not long after that form a soft penalty, but just before half time Cowie got a goal back when a good team move found GANDHI who finished from around 8 yards out
Tiring legs in the 2nd half meant it was relatively straight forward for Woodside as they added 3 more goals, but the effort could not be faulted by those that had turned up.
A long season comes to an end in a slightly disappointing fashion, another 4th place finish but it’s been a real struggle to get a team out the past month or so and certain players deserve credit for turning up week in week out no matter where and when it is, but the level of commitment is something the management will have to look at for next season.
