A 10th cup game in a row for Cowie and a comfortable one-sided win to go through to next round of AFC Trophy.
Playing against the wind in the first half Cowie were always the better team and the Torphins keeper kept the score blank with some superb saves until first McDONALD and then LOVICK scored headers before Torphins got a goal back just before half time.
Cowie scored 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half when TJ made it 3-1 and then BUCK scored the 4th a minute later and then it was 5-1 when CRAN ran through to finish.
Cowie then scored a further 6 goals in 20 minutes, McDONALD getting another 3 to take his tally to 4, IRV scoring 2 and LOVICK adding his 2nd.
There was no more scoring in the last 15 minutes and fair play to Torphins they still tried to attack and Brodie made a great save to stop any further consolation goals.
An easy win that could’ve been more but for the Torphins keeper display in the first half.
Full credit to Torphins for offering to swap the match down to Stonehaven to get the game played.
