Tarves 0 - 4 Cowie Thistle
After the worst performance of the season on Saturday, came easily the best performance tonight as despite only having 12 available, Cowie inflicted Tarves first defeat of the season witha thumping win.
Playing up the Tarves ski slope in the first half we knew it was gping to be a tough 45 and it took a worldie save from Jarvie in the 10th minute to keep the score at 0-0 but after that Cowie had most of the ball and could've been a couple goals up with some good half chances missed.
Playing down the sleep 2nd half it was I protest to make the hard work of the 1st count early and thought we'd scored in the 50th minute when Duguid scored low from 25 yards but it was bizarrely disallowed for someone being in the keepers eyeline, despite no one being anywhere near the keeper.
It didn't take long to open the scoring though though a minute later a through ball from Duguid found STEVIE and he ran through and slotted past the keeper.
Cowie made it 2 in the 65th minute when a cross from Duguid was met by SALMOND who's looping header went into the top corner.
Tarves tried to attack a bit more to try get back into the game but Cowie were strong in defence and picked them off on the counter in the 80th minuye when Badger ran through and squared to CALLUM who made it 3-0.
The scoring wasn't finished though as with 5 minutes to go, a free kick from DUGUID from just inside his own half was left by everyone and bounced over the keeper into the top corner to give Cowie a a convincing victory.
A great reaction from the lads after Saturday, all 12 lads contributing, hopefully take the momentum onto another tough game on Saturday at home to Cove.
