A comfortable win in the 3rd round down in Glasgow today, even having the luxury of missing 2 penalties
Playing against the wind 1st half, Cowie took the lead after 10 minutes when a low shot from DUGUID ended up in the bottom corner.
Cowie looked the better team in difficult conditions and made it 2-0 after 25 minutes when a cross from Sam was headed in at the back post by BUCK.
Southpark went down to 10 men after half an hour when the centre half was sent off for punching Shaun off the ball, the ref spotted it, sent the centre half off and gave the penalty, unfortunately Duguids penalty was poor and the keeper saved.
The red card lifted Southpark and they got a goal back after 40 minutes when a ball into the box wasn't defended and the striker finished well on the volley
With the wind in their favour 2nd half, Cowie controlled the game and had another great chance to make the game safe when TJ was fouled for a penalty, this time Salmond stepped up but the keeper guessed right and made the save, another poor penalty.
It was 3-1 a couple minutes later though when a through ball was controlled on the edge of the box by Buck and McDONALD followed up to finish.
The final goal came in 68th minute when LOVICK ran onto a Shaun lay-off and lobbed the keeper.
Cowie had more chances to add to the score but poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept it to 4-1
Thanks to Southpark for the game and hospitality afterwards, into the draw for the 4th round, game to played on 4th December.
