Rattrays XI 1 - 4 Cowie Thistle
Cowie made it 8 league games unbeaten with what turned into a comfortable victory away to Rattrays tonight.
A couple of very early chances were passed up by Cowie before Rattrays opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a tap in at the back post.
Cowie reacted well though and had more great chances to equalise before eventually finding it in the 17th minute when McDonald flicked on a kick from Stu and SALMOND ran through and cooly finished.
There was a blow for Cowie in the 20th minute when Duguid went down holding his ankle, hopefully it's not as bad as first feared, but despite the difficult pitch conditions Cowie were still creating chance after chance and took the lead 5 minutes later when BADGER finished off a Buck cross.
It was 3-1 in the 43rd minute when BUCK headed home from a Salmond flick on to make things slightly easier in the 2nd half.
Wasn't much action in 2nd half until the 75th minute when Chaz was denied an absolute stonewall penalty, comments were made from the sideline which resulted in Ross Donald being sent off just as he was coming on as sub.
The scoring was completed in the last minute when McDonald fired across the goal and GAZELLE was at the back post to fire home, his first chance of the night ??
Some good football played at times on a difficult pitch, but credit to the back 4 of Chaz, Aaron Kyle and Baz who were superb in winning everything in the air and ground to limit Rattrays to very few chances
