Cowie Thistle 6 - 3 Nicolls Amateurs
Cowie came from behind tonight to get all 3 points as we finally found our shooting boots!
Cowie took lead in 10th minute when McCombie clipped the ball across goal and BADGER headed in at the back post.
Cowie created more chances and the Nicolls keeper made a couple of great saves before on the half hour they broke up field and the ball across goal was tapped in by the striker for the equaliser. Worse was to come as 5 minutes later the ball fell on the edge of the box to the Nicolls midfielder who finished well into the top corner.
Cowie made the perfect start to 2nd half as 2 minutes in a shot from range by BADGER went under the keeper.
Cowie took the lead in 55th minute when a shot by Cammy was blocked by a Nicolls defenders hand and BADGER stepped up and sent keeper the wrong way for his hat trick.
4-2 came in 75th minute when a shot from McDonald was palmed by the keeper and SALMOND finished the rebound from close range and 2 minutes later KNOWLESY ran onto a Cammy through ball and buried the ball past the keeper for 5-2.
Nicolls got a goal back with 2 minutes to go but Cowie got the final goal in injury time when a great ball in by Badger was finished by McDONALD, getting the goal his hard work deserved.
