An easy victory today in the league with a convincing performance against Newtonhill today.
Newtonhill took the lead in the 3rd minute when a corner was headed in at the near post. Despite the early setback, Cowie went straight up the park and equalised when a long ball by Baz was missed by the defence and McDONALD ran it to score.
Cowie took the lead in the 15th minute when a long throw from Duguid was flicked on by Lovick, the keeper made a superb save but HUTCHEON followed up with rebound.
10 minutes later it was 3-1 when Lovick did well to flick the ball in from McDonalds knock down.
4-1 came soon after when good passing released McDonald on the right and his ball across was met by GAZELLE who finished low without breaking stride.
The 2nd half was constantly stop start, with no real action until the 80th minute Cowie were denied a stonewall penalty when McDonald was pulled back then tripped, not given, then Newtonhill went straight up the park, Chaz made a brilliant tackle on the striker winning the ball cleanly and to everyone's bemusement the ref gave the penalty. Hard to put into words how bad it was, anyway penalty scored, 4-2.
Newtonhill were reduced to 10 men a couple minutes later when their substitute was sent off for a kick out at Chaz, and Cowie took advantage with 2 late goals from first LOVICK curled a free kick from 20 yards into the top corner and then McDONALD scored with the last kick of the game, rounding the keeper after a Gazelle through ball.
An excellent performance with a bare 11 and a couple struggling with injury, another 3 points to continue the climb up the league
