Cowie made it 6 wins in a row this afternoon with a hard fought victory over Premier Division rivals MS United.
With the wind and the pitch not helping either team trying to play football it was no surprise that it was 0-0 at half time with few chances to report. The deadlock was broken in the 2nd half 10 minutes after half time after an indirect free kick in the MS box resulted in McDonald scoring.
Irvine made it 2-0 with 15 minutes to go with a superb chipped finish that no one knew if he actually meant! From there Cowie tried to take control of final 15 minutes and close the game out but were always wary of the MS counter attack and had keeper Middleton to thank for a couple of point blank stops. Substitute Fowler then rounded off a good team move with a tap in to make the score line comfortable.
Another fantastic all round team effort with a special mention to the defence for recording yet another clean sheet and help keep the winning run going and close the gap on leaders Woodside
Next week is the Scottish Cup trip to Wishaw, still seats on the bus if anyone wants to come down and support the lads ????
