Cowie Thistle 2 - 4 Kincorth
Disappointing defeat today to league leaders Kincorth in the Assocation Trophy.
Always going to be a tough task with the number of players unavailable and Cowie went in 3-0 down at half time with goals from Kincorth in the 10th, 30th and 35th minute, taking advantage of poor Cowie defending on each occasion with some clinical finishing.
The 2nd half was better but Cowie were dealt a blow in the 55th minute when Gazelle went off injured which meant a reshuffle and strike force of coaches Crusty and Muzzy, but Cowie got a goal back in the 65th minute when BADGER shot home from the edge of the box, however the comeback was short lived as Kincorth scored a 4th 5 minutes later.
Cowie scored a 2nd in the 85th minute, SALMOND heading in from a Nicoll corner and had a couple half chances after it but Kincorth held on comfortably.
Cant fault those who turned up and played, with many out of postion but 10 players available out of 27 signed isn't good enough to beat the best teams.
