Insch 2 - 2 Cowie Thistle
A last minute goal rescued a point today up in Insch in front of a large home support.
Cowie started the game brightly and were knocking it about well, creating some good chances but went behind after half an hour when from a controversial throw awarded to Insch, it resulted in a low ball to the near post, which wasn't dealt with and left the Insch striker with a tap in.
Cowie got an equaliser right at the start of the 2nd half when the ball in was fumbled by the keeper and McCOMBIE smashed home the loose ball.
Having made the perfect start to the half, Cowie then went and conceded within a minute as a cross ball again wasn't dealt with, the ball back across landed at the striker who had the simple job of finishing.
Cowie pushed for an equaliser for most of the half, having 2 stonewall penalties denied before eventually getting level in the 90th minute when Coops won the ball in midfield and headed it through to CRAN who ran on and beat the keeper.
More soft goals conceded and missing too many chances, story of the season!!
