Cowie Thistle 4 - 1 Insch
A return to winning ways in the league, recovering from a poor start to run out deserved winners in the end.
Insch took the lead after 2 minutes when a cheap corner was given away and Insch scored after a great ball was headed in at the back post.
Cowie were struggling to get into the game and had Jarvie to thank for two sharp saves at his near post before equalising in the 23rd minute when good work by Cran out wide beating his man and then putting a ball across that MUTLY headed home into the bottom corner.
This goal gave Cowie confidence and they ended the half well, creating a couple good chances but couldnt take them.
As the 2nd half went on and Cowie pressed for a 2nd goal, Insch were happy to sit in and hit on the break but Cowies defence were holding firm.
Cowie took the lead in spectacular fashion in the 67th minute CAMMY controlled a knock down 25 yards out, spun and hit a volley which went right into the top corner, here's hoping the camera caught it! ??
Cowie made the points safe 10 minutes later when an off the ball incident in the box seen the Insch midfielder sent off and BADGER sent the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot.
Final goal came in the 84th minute when a corner from Buck was met at the near post by CONRAN on the volley and he guided the ball home.
Scoreline possibly a little flattering in the end but a deserved 3 points in the league before we concentrate on cup business for the next few weeks.
