Fossoway 4 - 6 Cowie Thistle
Cowie made it through to the last 64 of the Scottish Cup today with an unbelievable 2nd half comeback today.
Cowie made the worst possible start when they were behind in the 1st minute when a corner wasn’t cleared and a Fossoway player had a simple task of making it 1-0
Cowie equalised in the 13th minute when Irv played the ball through to A COZZY who chipped the keeper for 1-1.
The rest of the 1st half can be forgotten as Fossoway scored in the 17th, 30th and 33rd minute with every goal coming from poor Cowie play and they took a 4-1 lead into halftime.
Cowie looked to get back into the game in the 2nd half knowing the next goal was crucial and it was 4-2 in the 60th minute when Lovick set up IRV who curled into the top corner.
2 minutes later it was 4-3 when another Lovick through ball found IRV who rounded the keeper and finished into the empty net.
5 minutes later the comeback was truly on when a cross from Buck found GAZELLE at the back post and he lobbed the keeper.
With both teams pushing for a winner Fossoway were reduced to 10 men when their defender was sent off for a push on McDonald and they were made to pay in the 90th minute when Gazelle played the ball through to Stevie Nicoll and he squared it for A COZZY to tap in and create absolute scenes on the pitch and sidelines.
Cowie held on into injury time from the Fossoway long ball and made it 6-4 when McDonald chased the ball down in the corner and squared it for A COZZY to finish low for his hat trick.
An unbelievable come back when looking down and out at 4-1 down at half time, all credit to the lads for the 2nd half performance.
