Cowie Thistle 4 - 2 Cove Thistle

Cowie finally made it 2 wins in a row this season with a deserved victory over Cove today.

Cowie started off quickly again and took the lead in the 3rd minute when a cross from Badger was met by SALMOND who headed home.

Cowie had a couple of further chances but had to be wary of Cove on the counter as they came into the game, but Cowie made it 2-0 after 35 minutes when SALMOND collected a Fowler throw, turned the defender and shot into the top corner.

Cowie then had 2 great chances to kill the game off but the keeper made good saves and then Cove got a goal back in 55 minutes when a header hit the post and the striker scored the rebound and then they were level 5 minutes later when Cowie gave the ball away and the Cove player ran through to score.

Heads didn't go down though as we retook the lead in 67th minute when a long free kick from DUGUID was missed by the keeper and we made it 4 a couple minutes later when a long throw from Duguid was flicked in at the near post by LOVICK

Cowie then should've taken more choices to put the game put of sight but couldn't score a 5th but it was comfortable for the last 15 minutes.

Another great squad performance following up from Wednesday nights win, hopefully this is the start of a long winning run, containing next Friday night against Polska in the Scottish Cup.
