Cowie Thistle 1 - 0 Cambusbarron Rovers
Cowie made it through to the last 32 of the Scottish Cup with a hard fought but deserved win today.
Cowie started well and had a couple of good chances to open the scoring, before in the 15th minute McDonald was wiped out by the Cambusbarron goalie when running through, the referee only produced a yellow though and the keeper went on to make a few good saves to keep his side in it before half time.
The scoring was opened in the 47th minute when a free kick from Cammy was controlled at the back post by McDONALD and he finished low across goal past the keeper.
The match turned into a bit of a midfield battle as Cambusbarron tried to get back into the game but Cowie were defending well and limiting chances, the last 10 minutes turned into a bit of back's to the wall but the team held firm and could've even increased the lead with a few chances on the break.
Another great performance, all the boys digging in when required but need to take the chances to put games out of sight at half time.
