BSFC 1 - 11 Cowie Thistle
Cowie eased into the next round of the AFC Trophy with a convincing win over BSFC today at Sheddocksley.
On a truly shocking pitch, it took Cowie 15 minutes or so to get used to the surface but once GAZELLE opened the scoring in 20 minutes with a long range shot it was all one way after that.
LOVICK made it 2-0 with a flicked header from a Duguid throw, MCDONALD got his first when put through by Stevie Nicoll and same player made it 4-0 before half time chesting in a Badger cross.
Any hopes of a BSFC comeback in 2nd half were ended after 5 minutes when Cozzy was fouled in the box and McDONALD scored the penalty for his hat-trick.
With the game over as BSFC hadn't had a shot until this point, Cowie made 3 changes and it was one of the subs who scored when Cozzy squared and the veteran IRV scored with his first touch
COZZY then scored a 7 minute perfect hatrick, rounding the keeper to score with his left, heading home another Badger cross and then finishing from one range with his right to make it 9-0.
BSFC then decided that instead of trying to play football they would try boot us off the park and they were even hopeless at that as the ref let then away with numerous fouls, but in 80th minute CALLUM made it 10-0 with a tap in from Stevies cross and BADGER then made it 11-0 with another shot from outside the box.
BSFC scored a consolation in the last minute, Jarvie was probably surprised they'd managed to get into our half!
Very easy victory with an excellent performance on a difficult surface, even had time for a customary Muzzy sitter missing from 2 yards!
