Cowie warmed up for next week's Scottish Cup tie with an emphatic win over Bervie today.
Cowie dominated from start to finish, creating numerous chances and limiting Bervie to very few opportunities, the first goal came after 5 minutes when McDonalds cross field pass was controlled and finished by CRAN.
2-0 came 10 minutes later when a long range free kick from DUKE was misjudged by the Bervie keeper and sailed into the net.
Worse was to come for the Bervie keeper after half an hour when Cammy was put through and beat the keeper to the ball, the keeper took.hom down just outside the box and was shown the red card.
Bervie had a goalkeeper on the bench who came on but it wasn't long before he was picking the ball out the net when an excellent team move was finished when Buck set up CAMMY for Cowies third and it was 4 straight after when Badger crossed for McDONALD to tap in.
Cowie started the 2nd half with a quick goal as McDONALD got his 2nd, curling over the keeper from the edge of the box.
2 further goals in the 64th and 66th minute when first CRAN finished after a scramble at a corner and then BUCK got the 7th with a great free kick from 25 yards out.
The game died out for the last 20 minutes as further chances were passed up, the only negative of the day an injury to Stevie Nicoll which hopefully isn't as bad first feared.
Another fantastic performance in what could've been a tricky game against an opposition who are near top of Div 1, lots of positives to take into next week.
