First league game for a few months and it turned into a hard fought win against Bervie
Cowie had a few good chances in the first half with several crosses into the box not being finished, Salmond hitting the post the closest and they were keeping Bervie to attacks on the break but it was 0-0 at half time.
Into the 2nd half and Cowie missed more great chances to take the lead but eventually got what turned out to be the winner in 65 minutes when a cross field ball from Salmond was controlled by McDONALD and he ran on and scored into the top corner.
Unfortunately 2 minutes later Cowie were reduced to 10 men yet again when Sam was sent off for what the referee perceived a dive, looked harsh.
That gave Bervie hope and Cowie had to defend well to limit their chances and as the game went into injury time Bervie felt they should've had a penalty but the ref said no.
Not the prettiest game to watch but a vital 3 points after a couple of cup defeats
