Beacon Rangers 1 - 1 Cowie Thistle
Cowie dropped 2 points today as missed chances came back to cost them.
Despite having many players missing, Cowie weren't fortunate enough to receive a week off from the Association, but still started the game well on a horrendous pitch, creating numerous chances and going close but ultimately couldn't open the scoring before half time.
Same story 2nd half as chances were created but missed and then Cowie had a massive chance on the hour with a penalty but Badgers weak effort was saved by the keeper.
Cowie made changes to try break the deadlock and it paid off as in 75th minute, IRV reminded everyone what we've missed this season as he beat his man, cut inside and finished into the top corner.
As the 3 points looked to be won, Beacon scored when a ball into the box was partially cleared, the return ball in was met by the Beacon midfielder who headed across goal and in of the far post.
Cowie still had time to create another couple chances but yet again couldn't take them, enough chances to win 3 games today.
A disappointing draw as we look to make up ground in the league with our games in hand.
