Banchory 0 - 2 Cowie Thistle
Cowie recorded their second 2-0 win of the season over Banchory today in a game which was hard to watch at times!
Cowie had most of the possession for the first half on a poor pitch but were fortunate not to be behind when long balls weren't dealt with and Stu had to come out and make 3 one on one saves.
Cowie took the lead after half an hour though when a shot from Knowles was spilled by the keeper, Gazelle did well to knock the rebound into the path of SALMOND who finished well in a crowded area.
2nd half was the same as the first as Cowie were comfortable for most of it, creating and missing chances but again Stu had to make 2 very good saves as Banchory hit on the break.
The game was sealed in the 78th minute when a cross from TJ was headed home by SALMOND despite the keeper efforts to keep the ball out.
Cowie had a late 3rd disallowed but held on for the win, not the best performance but happy to take the 3 points and a special mention to Stu for the saves at crucial times.
