A disappointing result tonight as the performance never reached Saturdays level and we ended up losing by the odd goal in 3.
Banchory took the lead in 5 minutes when a corner to the near post and should've been dealt with but it wasn't and the ball fell to the Banchory player who had simple task of scoring.
Cowie struggled to create any real chances against an organised Banchory side as the rest of the first half was played out without too much action at either goal.
Banchory doubled their lead in 58th minute when from a free kick a Banchory player had a free header to make it 2-0.
Cowie made changes to try get back into the game and got a goal back with 20 to go when STEVIE scored from a tight angle past the keeper.
However Cowie couldn't get an equaliser in the last 20 minutes as Banchory defended well, with the best chance coming when Callum hit the post with 5 minutes to go.
Not sure we deserved to lose but definitely didn't do enough to win and credit to Banchory who took their chances when they came, need a big reaction for Saturdays game against Kincorth
