Cowie Thistle 1 - 0 AFC Chryston
Third time lucky! Cowie make it through to the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup with victory today.
In a game of very few chances, Cowie had a couple of 1st half very good penalty appeals turned down whilst a few good balls into the box weren't met.
Into the 2nd half and again it was a tight affair, with both keepers having little to do, McDonald shooting well over for Cowies best chance.
The winning goal came in the 77th minute when Salmonds header was goal bound until the Chryston defender made a brilliant save, penalty to Cowie but no red card ???????
BADGER stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 1-0
Chryston threw everything forward in last 10 minutes to get an equaliser but the defence held firm, winning every header, tackle and making vital blocks.
A fantastic team effort from the whole squad, a very close game but a well deserved win. Quarter final to look forward to at the start of March
