AC Mill Inn 1 - 4 Cowie Thistle
An easy progression into the next round of the Association Trophy with victory in the local derby.
In a one-sided game Cowie had plenty early chances but sole good saves from the Mill Inn keeper kept it scoreless and it wasnt until the 25th minute when they took the lead when BAZ finished at the back post from a Badger corner.
It was 2-0 a few minute later when Salmond put through McDONALD and he slid the ball past the keeper.
2nd half continued in the same manner with missed chances and good saves keeping the score down but CRAN headed home to make it 3-0 shortly before the hour from a Salmond flick on.
With the game dead, Cowie made changes to give people minutes and it was one of the subs IRV who made it 4-0 in 85th minute with a finish from a Buck cross.
Only disappointment was Mill Inn getting a consolation in last minute with near enough their first shot on target.
Straight forward game, 2nd half falling a little flat but to be expected when it was so one sided.
