After a disappointing training, in terms of effort and focus it was good to see you all respond well to the words we had before the game. We talked about teamwork, effort and focus and all three came through from you all through the game to secure a great victory against the league leaders.
We were sluggish for the first 10-15 mins but stayed in the game as a result of several saves from Ryan. After this period you all upped your game and half time came at the right point. Second half we were the dominant team for much of the half, two top corner special saves from Ryan and great team work when we asked you to change positions and formations led to a great win.
Every player had a very good game. Goals from Tyler and Justin, two assists from Seb and some resolute defending and tackling from Harrison, Blake and Danny.
Whilst several had claims for player of the week, as a result of effort for the team, playing multiple positions and keeping the right attitude throughout it was Seb.
If we can play like that, keep focused and improving we can beat any team in this league.
