We are all dissapointed with today.
We had a good first ten minutes and a few moments during the rest of the game. But, for the most parts it was the worst we have played as a team, it looked like we were a new team that hadn’t played together before.
We talked before the game about using this game to springboard our second half of the season and to use it to compete for places ahead of next week. But then we’re second to every ball, forgot what we have worked on in training about defensive shape and didn’t talk or support each other on the pitch.
A special mention to the debut boys who integrated well and especially Alfie who gave 100% effort all game and played well. Also, a mention for Kenzie who is playing in goal whilst Ryan is injured and did nothing wrong today despite 8 goals and finally jack who played after some very upsetting news.....we need to ensure we work harder to provide better midfield and defensive cover for next week.
We booked the friendly to work off any rustiness from a month off over Xmas, we now need to forget it and prove to ourselves and the parents we are better than that by beating cringleford.
Heads up boys, let’s attack next week and win.
