Significant Improvement!

It makes me so pleased and proud to write this match report, on a bitterly cold day, with a sloping pitch and strong winds, you dug in and with a bit more luck may have got a better result.

It takes time to build a team, to get familiar with your role in the team, understand team mates and consistently perform. Remember, this team has only been a team since September, played less than 20 games and during that time has had 20 players in and out with 4 new ones in the last month.

So, you should all take great confidence in this performance today, everyone played a part, the whole team getting ‘player of the week’. Whilst I would like to mention what a fantastic debut from Sam in goal today, I could talk about how every one of you showed improvement today.

For the last few weeks we have been working on how to defend as a team, how to press as individuals and how to press and cover as a team...I saw this today and Lee said to me afterwards that you stopped them playing their football...brilliant.

We should always look to improve and we can still get better of course, but, this was a significant improvement from the last game and great momentum for the Aylsham game next week.
