Pegasus Reserves Book A League Cup Final!!!

<p>The opening 20 minutes saw both teams up for the clash with the majority of chances edging in Pegasus' favour. However in the 25th minute, Pegasus gave away a silly free kick on the edge of the box. The Weldon player stepped up and unleashed a rocket to make it 0-1. Pegasus responded well and added the equalizer with a goal from Lee Thomson. Half Time score 1-1 Second half both teams battled well again. But in the 65th minute, yet again, Pegasus gave away another free kick. This was again put away to make it 1-2. Pegasus battled hard after this searching for the equalizing goal. Fitness and graft certainly paid off as in the last couple of minutes a free kick was sent in the box from Ants Underwood, this was met by Lee Thomson who guided it in with his head. Score after 90 mins. 2-2. The 30 minutes of extra time seen both teams continue to battle hard. Neither could find that decisive goal though. The game was to be decided by a penalty shoot out. Pegasus held their nerve in the shoot out and came away with a 4-2 spot kick win. A well deserved final coming up for a Pegasus team that simply dont know how to give up!
