Poor preparation for today's game was quickly forgotten about as Pegasus began brightly and immediately put Spartak under pressure. This was thanks to the impressive work rate of the front 3 early on. Without creating too many chances, Pegasus were in control of the game against a Spartak side who struggled to find any sort of rhythm. Work rate finally paid off in the 20th minute when Arron Mcginty sent a pass up the left flank to Colin Thow who showed impressive speed to latch onto the pass, rounding the keeper in the process. He then took his time and composed himself on the corner of the 18 yard box to send a great lobbed effort over the keeper and the Spartak defender. A great strike to make it 0-1. The Pegasus shape began to unfold and Spartak began to string a few passes together, although they didnt amount to anything. Just before Half Time Picey ran down the right wing weaving in and out of Spartak players and won a free kick. A precise cross into the box from Thainy was met by the experienced head of Hoggy who made no mistake at the back post, beating his marker to make it 0-2.

This proved to be a huge blow to Spartak as the second half began and Pegasus again dominated the early period creating some chances that maybe should have been turned into goals. The third goal came in the 55th minute - Thomo found himself in a bit of space 30 yards out and made a pin point pass through to Sinky who took his time before smashing the ball in the net to make it 0-3. 5 changes were then made during 5 minute intervals to freshen up the team, one of which included Jonny Crawford (the pegasus keeper) so some major shuffling was required. Spartak began to threaten in the next 15 minutes and had a handful of half chances before their persistence finally paid off in the 80th minute when a lack of defensive organisation from Pegasus allowed the Spartak attacker to run through and lob the ball over Thainy who had been moved from Midfield to in goal. Final Score 1-3.

A good away win for Pegasus to make it 3 wins in a row to keep them second in the table. A lot of changes in the squad yet again but the quality certainly didnt drop. A good week to welcome back players that have been missing for a number of weeks. MOM was a tough choice. Lee Sinclair produced a fine display of hard work but it goes to Hoggy who was a rock at the back and scored a rare goal. Well done to all the lads involved.
