The less said about this match the better. From the warm up, it was visible that 50% of the team were not fully focused. From the start, right through to the final minute it was a team performance that lacked any sort of bite, desire and graft. Credit to Daventry, they understood the importance of the match ahead and rose to the occasion. They were a lot more hungry for the first and second balls and remained fairly organized throughout the 90 minutes. Final score 2-1 to Daventry.

Pegasus Reserves failed to reach the standards they have set for the last few months, which is a shame. Circumstances were against us in terms of, turning up late due to an incorrect postcode, being let down by our keeper at very short notice, having our stand in keeper break his wrist, having our captain crack his ribs along with other numerous injuries throughout the game, being reduced to 10 men, having a local referee that seemed to dislike us from minute one - but make no mistake, these cant and will not be used as an excuse from anyone involved with Pegasus Reserves. On a typical day we would have overcame these obstacles and took the game in our stride, but it wasnt the case today. Hopefully a massive lesson learned, and hopefully whats left of the team can re-group and focus ahead to a tricky fixture list. We are still in a very good position in the league and its still in our hands to win it, massive improvement needed tho. Roll on next week to get this game clear from our system.

Scorer for Pegasus was Brendan Logue and MOM was Stephen Skinner for stepping forward, going in goals and unfortunately suffering a severe injury for the team. Special thanks to Scott McBlain who came on and played out the final hour in goals also.
