Away league match

Before the match took place there was a nice touch from both teams - all players/management came onto the pitch with their poppies on. This was topped with a respectful minutes silence.
The game started and the respect levels seemed to drop almost instantly with some meaty challenges flying in. This was expected with it being a local derby. Before any team found any sort of rhythm, the referee gifted locos a free kick for reasons unknown. This left Pegasus with a double slap in the face as the player stepped up and blasted a shot that was going wide, but then deflected off the wall and went the other way into the corner of the net. 1-0. Pegasus then pressed the game looking for an equalizer, which left them vulnerable to the counter. Locos were exposing the space with their pace but both teams continued to cancel each other out. The second goal came on the half hour mark, after a 50 yard pass/clearance was misjudged by the Pegasus defender and it fell to the Locos frontman who stayed calm and sent a neat finish past Jonny Crawford. 2-0. The half ended with Pegasus pressing again but unable to find that clear cut chance. Half Time 2-0.
The second half was similar to the first, Pegasus pushed forward looking for a goal and Locos were happy to sacrifice possession and hit Pegasus on the counter with their pace - particluarly on the flanks. Persistence finally paid off for Pegasus on the hour mark when Vadim sent a pass through to Andy Silley who rolled it in near post from a tricky angle. Pegasus then lost Ants and Thainy to injury so some reshuffling was needed - Geo came on up top and Hammell replaced Snodz at left back. The equalizing goal came from bizarre circumstances. Jonny Crawford (keeper) had the ball in his hands in the Pegasus area. He then blasted the ball forward which took a bounce in the Locos penalty area which lobbed over the the locos keeper - Dodds to make it 2-2. Both teams shape then crumbled as both sides went a bit gung-ho looking for the winning goal, but after some half chances from each team, the scoreline ended 2-2.
Locos will be unhapy to let a 2-0 scoreline slip away, especially after dealing with the Pegasus pressure for the majority of the game. Pegasus on the flip side can be happy with their spirit and desire to get something out of a game, whilst being 2-0 down. Both teams were far from their best im sure, but they both plugged away for 90 minutes and overall a point is probably a justified result.
MOM - Andy Silley. As soon as he switched into central midfield early on, he was a constant threat with the ball and his movement was top quality as always. Great energy for 90 minutes and a well deserved goal.
