The game was played in awkward conditions as the pitch was very wide and the weather made it very dry as well. So the quality of football was quite poor in the opening period, however the majority of chances fell to Pegasus Reserves and the breakthrough came in the 25th minute when Thainy played a precise pass out on the left flank, Vadim beat the Brixworth defender with ease and crossed the ball across goal to Thomo, who took a touch, composed himself and fired his shot under the keeper. Brixworth began to show a bit more bite in their performance but couldnt find that bit of quality in the final third. 0-1 HT. Second Half, both teams struggled to get going and the game became very scrappy again, both sets of strikers were feeding off scraps. Changes were made for Pegasus, which lifted the quality in certain areas but it was still below adequate. After 10 minutes of some late Brixworth pressure, the game was wrapped up when some good midfield battling from Ants enabled him to send the ball through to Thomo who forced the keeper to come way off his line, Thomo laid the ball off to Daniel Loughran who finished the ball into an empty net from just outside the 18 yrd box. Full time score 0-2.

Not the best performance but a very good sign when we can come away from Home and beat 3rd in the League for a second week running. The win moves Pegasus Reserves back to the top of the table. However, the players know they will need to refresh quickly and raise their game for a tough League encounter on Tuesday night away to Shamrock Reserves.
