Match Report - EAST Dumbartonshire (A) - 18 Feb 2024

First big test of the year. A league team. Very good defence and one really good attacker. Boys done really well first half, nerves were high and led to a little kick and run football. When the football was played it was good and came from Max and Elliot down the right, Ross was a menace up top. Ewan good too. Camerons handling was good until he dropped a ball into his net. Ross equalised with a beltwr of free kick into top corner.

Second half the message was calm down play our football. Didn't really happen but we're a threat none the less. We went ahead deservedly so with Max putting his body on the line with a through ball and ran into a wall of keeper who floored him although the ball would creep in. A couple more chance one off the line from Max and another free kick from Ross. But the opposite team weren't finished yet and creeped an equaliser before the death and then forced a frantic final minute with what turned out to be the winner. Very proud of the boys and their efforts.

Never asked ref for MOTM again but Ross put himself about and was always a threat. Although Cameron made a couple of mistakes, his handling was good and really impressed me.
