Match Report - CARBRAIN - 16 Mar 2023

Pitted as our toughest game of the season the boys showed up ready to go, with a fantastic attitude. First half started and got in to a passing rythm straight away. A couple of half chances in an even affair went a begging before we lost a goal. The boys hit straight back with a run from Max and cross to Adam to tap in for equaliser. End to end now with us just shading it we scored from Max, using strength to hold off defenders and shoot. But the opponent's had us on the back foot with shots from range and a save from Cameron - the game had swung in their favour now. They took the lead. Still having chances ourself teams went in at HT 3-2 down.

Very happy with our first half performance we asked for a little better decision making and some more short passing. Max switched to left with Elliot on right and Joel coming in to middle again. The boys certainly showed up and took control right from the half. Max had them worried every time on ball and with Max, Joel and Elliot winning all the second balls chances were coming thick and fast. Plenty of chances now Ross stuck one in for the equaliser. Max then scored with a run passed what was almost their whole team and shot in corner. Finlay was then passed to from a short corner and finished in the corner, before the best of the lot came when Max was at the half way, Ross was next to 2 defenders who were next to their box on right side. Max sprinted passed all of them on to ball and slotted home in opposite corner. A little mistake where ball slipped under Cameron let them back in to it before we finished strong. Plenty more chances than ones we scored and had a muche better half than our strong opponents.
