Downham Town 1 vs 12 Clenchwarton YFC

<p>It was&nbsp;a great weekend for Clenchwarton.&nbsp; The league title is now firmly in their own hands&nbsp;with an emphatic win away to Downham Town and the current league leader dropping 3 points at Wisbech Acorns.&nbsp; The gap now stands at only 2 points, with a game in hand.

<p>It took only 6 minutes for the Oranges to register.&nbsp; Josh Murray knocked the ball in to the box from a corner.&nbsp; Alex Havers stooped to get his on to it, nodding it goalwards for Jordan Turner to put away with his head.&nbsp; 0 - 1

<p>Kodie Turvey doubled the score on 15 minutes after collecting the ball from a throw in on the left.&nbsp; He turns his marker and curls the ball in to the bottom right with his right foot.&nbsp; 0-2

<p>28 minutes, and Josh Murray collects the ball on the right hand side of the opponents goal area.&nbsp; He pulls it back across the goal for Josh Chilvers to neatly place in to the bottom left.&nbsp; 0 - 3

<p>3 minutes later, and Josh Murray adds a fourth goal after connecting with a fine cross from the left by Kodie.&nbsp; 0 - 4

<p>39 minutes, Jordan Turner collects the ball in midfield.&nbsp; He lays it out wide to Josh Murray, who then lays it at Kodie's feet with his back to goal.&nbsp; He turns his marker and smacks the ball in to the top left.&nbsp; 0 - 5

<p>On the stroke of half time, Kodie nets again for his hat trick after Jordan lays a lovely ball across the box for him to latch on to.&nbsp; One touch to set himself and the second to see it home.

<p>3 minutes after the break, and Kodie takes his tally for the day to four after, again, collecting the ball at his feet from Jordan Turner.&nbsp; He turns and shoots, putting the ball through the keeper's legs.&nbsp; 0 - 7

<p>51 minutes.&nbsp; Josh Murray races in to the box.&nbsp; The Downham defender manages to get his tackle in, only to see the ball drop kindly to Josh Chilvers, who then smashes the ball in to the bottom left.&nbsp; 0 - 8

<p>A minute later, and Kodie takes a corner on the left.&nbsp; He put the ball in to the box where, after a mad goalmouth scramble, Josh Chilvers then prods the ball home for his hat trick.&nbsp; 0 - 9

<p>57 minutes, and Chilvers is involved again.&nbsp; This time he collects the ball in midfield.&nbsp; He slots the ball through for Josh Murray to run on to.&nbsp; Josh races in at goal and slots it past the keeper.&nbsp; 0 - 10

<p>59 minutes, and Kodie has another corner.&nbsp; Josh Murray gets his head to the ball from the resultant kick, which drops to Jordan Turner.&nbsp; His shot is saved by the keeper.&nbsp; However, Lewis Jeavons pops up in the right place and puts the ball away.&nbsp; 0 - 11

<p>Downham get a consolation goal on 67 minutes.&nbsp; They attack down their left and cross the ball in.&nbsp; Brad Palmer gets his body in the way, only for the ball to go behind him, hit the post, rebound on to Brads back and ricochet in to the net.&nbsp; Unlucky for Brad as he had been kept fairly quiet through a fine defensive performance from Alex Havers, Robbie Rose and Edward Brown.&nbsp; 1 - 11

<p>78 minutes, and Josh Chilvers&nbsp;finishes the game off with a superb volley from&nbsp;a Kodie Turvey corner, taking his goal count for the game to four&nbsp;as well.
