?? CORONA FAN TV: COCFC win comfortably in a 5-1 THRILLER against Two Balls FC.
Harris started in between the sticks, with Cooney on the right wing, Hepworth on the left wing, Fawkes was in a free roaming role in the centre, as both a CDM and CAM when in attack. McCoulough was lurking up top near the Two Ball FC goaline. The first half got off to a bad start with some VAR controversy, as the referee refused to go to the screen despite being notified by the COCFC players and the 4th official that a second ball had interfered with play which had led to Two Balls FC's goal in the first minutes at 0-1. Despite the ref's wrong decisions, COCFC had a quick response, with McCoulough sending Fawkes through with a cheeky flick, with Fawkes bagging a goal to take it all square at 1-1. Straight after kickoff and after Two Ball FC's attack, Harris rolled the ball out, Hepworth flicked it on to McCoulough who slotted it in, with some poor GKing from the opposition. Cooney subbed off for Taylor, and soon after, Taylor was involved in the build up of a goal, with a flick into McCoulough who rifled home his second at 3-1. Fawkes subbed off for Hughes, with a few minutes until the end of the half.
Second half, McCoulough went in goal, Cooney on the right wing, Taylor on the left, Harris in the holding CDM role, with Hughes up top. Taylor's wayward shot landed in Hughes' path, who controlled it down, switched it across to Harris who controlled and volleyed it into the back of the net for 4-1. Cooney subbed off for Fawkes who came back on, and then Taylor came off for Hepworth. In the last attack of the game, McCoulough dribbled the ball out from goal, looking up to see Hepworth running down the right hand side, playing it through to Hepworth who shot, and McCoulough was there with two headers controlling the ball like a performing seal, to seal a wonderful hattrick and finish the game at a 5-1 victory.
