TAYLOR KNEELS, HUGHES SCORES But COCFC LOSE 2-1

Harris started the first half in goal, Gubby in CB, Hepworth on the right hand side and Cooney on the left, with Fawkes up top. The first half saw many wayward chances with ball's played through but with COCFC missing that clinical final touch. Taylor came on for Cooney, Fawkes came off for Johnson. Near the end of the half Gubby swapped with Hughes. But the first half ended 0-0 with Harris getting a clean sheet.

Second half, Hepworth went in goal, with Cooney in CB, Johnson on the left, Hughes on the right, and Harris sitting in the middle just in front of Cooney. COCFC went down 1-0 after a long range shot snuck through. Cooney came off for Taylor and Johnson substituted off for Fawkes. Goal Kick United's keeper took the ball on the floor and booted it up the pitch, with the striker taking it down well, turning Taylor and slotting it between Hepworth's legs to make it 2-0. Harris was furious with the ref, insisting the goal should be reviewed as the keeper didn't roll the ball out, rather kicked it. The referee disagreed, he decided to change the rules of game despite COCFC's 2 years of experience. It came back to bite them, when Goal Kick United's keeper kicked a ball out which Fawkes battled to intercept, playing it to Harris who held it up the centre, twisting and turning the defenders before playing a one-two with Hughes who tapped it in to take it to 2-1. Hughes then came off to give Gubby a run out, however it was too late to take the game any further, time wasting due to the ball going out of play had meant the clock had ran down. At full time the score was 2-1 to Goal Kick United.
