HUGHES Completes WONDERFUL HATTRICK In 3-2 Win

Fawkes started in GK, with Taylor and Gubby in CB, Hughes and Johnson upfront. In the first half all was square, lots of shots from COCFC left the scoreline at 0-0 at halftime.

Second half, Fawkes remained in goal after shot stopping first half performance.

McCoulough went in CB, Hepworth on the left wing, Gubby on the right wing, and Johnson up top. Soon into the half, 8-A-Side Soccer FC manage to nick a goal against the run of play. Johnson comes off for Hughes, and COCFC mount a response. McCoulough rolls the ball in to Hepworth who turns the defender and whips a ball across the goal face for Hughes to poach at the back post to bring it to 1-1. McCoulough comes off for Taylor. Hepworth manages to win back the ball high in the COCFC half, and plays a ball through to Hughes who slots another one home to take COCFC ahead at 2-1. Johnson then comes on for Hepworth, and rolls a ball in for Hughes, who runs down the right wing and squeezes one in from a tight angle, right into the top corner, and that completes a wonderful hattrick. At 3-1, Hughes then gives away a penalty inside the area, which 8-A-Side Soccer step up to and score, leaving the end result at 3-2 to COCFC as the full time whistle blows.
